Our common areas are designed to have it all: Spaces to relax, lying, sitting – at the bar, at the dinner table or on our comfy, self designed and built sofas! There are corners for working, lurking, eating, drinking, surfing, chatting and tables for playing chess.

Our Gardens
Our lush, beautiful gardens invite you to take some time off from the hustling & bustling. Get a fresh, cool drink from the bar or a hot drink from the reception and take it easy! Have your food from the kitchen next door, challenge someone to a game of chess or play one of our board games.
There is more than just the main garden in hostel Ruthensteiner… Some of them are secrets, some are just not as famous… ???? One of our Apartments even has it’s own private garden!
Our Bar
Our lively, smoke-free bar is a wonderful place to meet new people, chat with our friendly and witty bartenders, listen to good music and have a sip of Vienna’s best lager beer (Ottakringer).
There is a piano and other free to use instruments so jams are regularly happening! Also there are daily activities – some of them in the Bar – some outdoors.
Beer Happy Hour 7-8 pm with half liters for just 2.50 Euros.
Opening hours: Every night 7:00 PM – midnight.
